Evaluation of Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Aluminium-7475 Reinforced with Graphite and Fly ash

چکیده
The aluminium is used for variety of reasons and they are known their improved strength, stiffness, wear resistance which useful in the marine, space, transport, automobile related industries. When reinforced with ceramic materials like fly ash, silicon carbide, tungsten boron fired bricks then a composite better plastic forming capability, excellent heat will be formed. objective experiment to assess thermal mechanical properties Aluminium Metal Matrix Composites (AMMCs) when ceramics. (Al-7475) based metal matrix composites varying weight percentage Graphite(Gr) (3%, 6%, 9% 12%) ash being constant (10wt%) by stir casting process. tensile strength hardness amount graphite content up decreased. While composite’s Thermal Conductivity(TC) Coefficient Expansion(CTE) temperature range from 50°Cto 300°C reduces increase content.
